Lights On! Go Green For Brain Injury Awareness!

Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) is a leading cause of death and disability among children and young adults in the United States.

Each year an estimated 2.8 million (1 in 5) Americans sustain a TBI.

As a consequence of these injuries:

  • 230,000 people are hospitalized and survive.
  • 50,000 people die.
  • 80,000 to 90,000 people experience the onset of long-term disability.

As the cumulative result of past traumatic brain injuries, an estimated 5.3 million men, women, and children are living with a permanent TBI-related disability in the United States today and need our support.

Lights On at the Center of the Universe

Lights On Started in 2020-  At the Lights On 2020 event we unveiled our new logo during the Tulsa Arts District’s First Friday Art Crawl during our 3-D mapping Light Show onto the Center on the Universe Statue while DJ Brody kept us dancing all night!

At 7:30 pm, hundreds of spectators and survivors joined together to hear the Mayor’s office read and present their Proclamation and turn on the “light” in Tulsa to #BrainInjuryAwareness.

We are looking forward to another fun event in the coming years when we can gather and celebrate together again!
